Note: Reception problems after display replacement at Samsung
Brief explanation: US devices use different radio standards, and their antennas are often located in the display frame. Converting a US frame to the EU version can cause massive reception problems. We only guarantee error-free operation for EU models. Check the regional code of your device before converting it.
Check region code
- Settings → Phone info: Code often visible directly.
- Logicboard/Subboard: Printing possible (partly on the back of the subboard → remove charging socket).
Note : Printing on battery covers or flex cables is not reliable.
Model numbers (distinguishing feature)
- 4G EU: ends with F (z. B. G980F)
- 5G EU: ends with B (z. B. G981B)
- USA: ends with U (z. B. G980U)
Note: NCC Original vs. Fake
How can you recognize an original NCC product?
1) QR code for authenticity verification (since 18. July 2024)
- On the back of each NCC display, there is a unique QR code that you can scan with your smartphone.
- After scanning, you will receive confirmation of authenticity:
- A “√” symbol indicates that it is a genuine NCC product.
- Important: For security reasons, each QR code can only be scanned five times.
2) New NCC labeling
For displays delivered on or after July 18, 2024, the quality level of the display will also be printed as an additional authenticity feature.
Tip: If in doubt, always check the QR code first. This will ensure that you are holding an original in your hands.
